When is the best time to travel to Chile?

Chile’s geographic and climatic diversity makes it an ideal country to visit throughout the year. Depending on where you want to go, however, some times are better than others. The time to visit Patagonia is from September to April, skiing is at its best in July and August while the northern Atacama region is a great year-round destination.

What do I need to bring to travel in Chile?

It depends on the tour and physical activity, however, for visiting the cities, bring lightweight clothing and if you visit during the wet season bring waterproof clothes.  We will provide a list of essential packing before the tour. 

Is it safe to travel in Chile?

South America has become a popular tourist destination, and so the government takes great steps to make South America safer. Chile is not known for violent crimes, however, in popular tourist places there is the risk of pickpockets. Some safety notes: do not take your valuables with you, leave them locked in a safety deposit box; keep your spending money, camera and phone close to you, preferably beneath clothing; do not go to areas where tourists are not expected; always use taxis with official identification.

Do I need to be fit to go to Chile?

It depends on the tour you wish to take. Chile offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, trekking, climbing, skiing and others. There are many trails ranging from easy to difficult and you can choose which one fits best with your physical condition. Or if you are not so active there are plenty of other options for you. 

What power adaptor plug do I need for Chile?

In Chile the standard voltage is 220 V. The standard frequency is 50 Hz. The power sockets that are used are of type C  /  L. Please double check with us before you leave.
