Day 1 – LA PAZ / SUCRE
Note: This tour departs from La Paz on day 1. If you require accommodation or other arrangements in La Paz prior to this just let us know and we can organise it all for you.
This morning you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Sucre, the official Capital of Bolivia. Sucre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1991. It is Bolivia’s most beautiful city, and the symbolic heart of the nation. A glorious ensemble of whitewashed buildings sheltering pretty patios, it’s a spruce place that preserves a wealth of colonial architecture. It was here that independence was proclaimed by Simon Bolivar in 1825.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 2 - SUCRE
Today you will visit the House of Freedom Historical Museum or the Textile Asur Museum, the Convent of La Recoleta Museum and its viewpoint, the Convent of San Felipe Nery, Bolivar Park and the main historical monuments.
After enjoying lunch in a local restaurant the excursion continues visiting Jatun Yampara Community, one of the most ancient cultures of the continent. Here we will observe the process of making ceramics and textiles. Then we will visit the community's Museum of Native Clothing, and appreciate their archaeology, agriculture and their Medicinal Herbs exposition. Observe the native constructions and their customs and participate in a typical offering to Mother Earth before returning to Sucre.
Day 3 – POTOSI
This morning you will be transferred to the Potosi, a city with an amazing past. Potosi was once the richest city in the world after the discovery of vast amounts of Silver in the Cero Rico Mountain that towers above the city. Even though today much of the past glory has faded it a city so rich in history it is astounding.
Today you will visit the most important and interesting places of the city, which was declared UNIVERSAL HERITAGE OF MANKIND by UNESCO. Visit the San Lorenzo Church where we you can appreciate its beautiful façade, Casa de la Moneda Museum, the exterior of the Tower of Company, the exterior of the Arch of Cobija and the artisans market in the colonial area of the city.
Day 4 – UYUNI
This morning you will visit a private mine on the Cerro Rico, currently managed by the miners who bought it from the State. You will be able to see the miners performing their job in rudimentary form and in similar conditions as those of the Spanish Colony.
Following this you will depart in private transport from Potosi towards Colchani town, located in the shores of the Uyuni Salt Flat. On way visit the Pulacayo village a small mining town with an interesting train museum housing the oldest train in Bolivia. Enjoy lunch before continuing to the Uyuni Salt Flats where you will spend the night at a “Salt Hotel”.
Day 5 - COLCHANI - UYUNI SALT FLAT
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Uyuni Salt Flat and visit the Incahuasi Island, this island is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high, providing an impressive overview. The trip continues towards Coquesa village, box lunch. After lunch ascend the Tunupa Volcano to visit the Coquesa Mummies.
In the afternoon return to the Uyuni.
Day 6 – UYUNI SALT FLAT - LA PAZ
Breakfast and then transfer to the airport for your flight to La Paz.

Day 7 - DEPART
Today you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight home.
