The Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest in the world, encloses in its interior natural resources of extraordinary beauty.  Scattered amongst the sea of salt are small islands including Incahuasi Island.  Populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 metres high and on the shores of the Salt Flats the Tunupa Volcano is home to the well preserved Coquesa Mummies.  

Leave the city and head out for some high trekking in the Royal Mountain Range.  Leaving La Paz we arrive to Condoriri National Park where after a short hike you will camp at the shores of the Chiar Kohta lagoon.  The following morning you will hike until you reach the high pass (5,200 m.a.s.l) where you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views.  This is a relatively easy hike with no equipment required.
